Well today is a very bittersweet day in our kindergarten classroom: Miss Naylor's last day of student teaching. Can it truly be here already? Wasn't yesterday January 18th and her first day?
I would just like to start off by saying how extremely proud I am of Miss Naylor and how much she has grown over the past 3 months. I have watched her take on more responsibilites each week, teach more material each week, and every time her execution was wonderful. Were mistakes made? Yeah, but everyone makes mistakes. You know what makes her mistakes ok? She learned from them, was constantly reflecting, and picked right back up where she left off and continued on down the road.
The kids and I all formed a close relationship with Miss Naylor and some tears were shed this afternoon when it was time to say goodbye. She has been a wonderful mentor and role model to the children and even to myself.
Our whole kindergarten class would like to wish you the best of luck Miss Naylor. We know you are going to make a GREAT teacher and we hope you stay a bubble, smart, and funny teacher. Remember, some days, you may be the only ray of sunshine that some of your students see.
Congratulations! Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.
You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.
