Easter's on its way

Today was a great day in kindergarten! We dyed eggs (I can't believe some of the kids have never done this before...) and the kids had a blast.
They got to dye two eggs and then take them home at the end of the day (RED ALERT - parents check bookbags and get those eggs into the fridge ASAP! lol)

some of the boys all picked blue & green for their egg colors (big surprise they didnt want pink LOL)

We also got a new book to add to our home libraries from Chase Martin. A new book by Laura Numeroff titled  Happy Easter Mouse. (the same author who brings you If you take a mouse to school,  and If you give a pig a pancake or If you take a mouse to the movies and many more) The kids are really excited to bring this book home and read it with a grown up or older sibling because they are able to read many of the words also!

At the end of the day, I gave them a goodie bag, Miss Naylor gave them an egg filled with a surprise, and Julian handed out Easter pencils. I hope you all enjoy the time off (if you get any) and have a blessed Easter. I will see you back at school on Tuesday, the 26th (Sorry, parents, my calendar skills were off while writing last week's weekly news when I said the date was the 25th on Tuesday)
